Champions League Results (16/9/2008 & 17/9/2008)

Royston reporting the overall results for Champions League group stage. It is only the first game of the group stage that we can see that there is quite alot of surprises from the small teams in Europe beating the well-known teams. Romanian team CFR beat Roma was the most shocking result. Aab held Scottish champion Celtic. Anorthosis also help Bremen to a goalless draw. I am also surprised that Kun Aguero and his Atletico Madrid beat PSV 3-0 as they are new to the competition. So beware of them my favourite Liverpool. Liverpool did very well also with Gerrard on-form with a spectacular goal outside of the box and a twice-taken penalty. My other favourite team Juventus did not bad also, beating Super Cup winner Zenit, scored by Del Piero with his trademark free kick. Fiorentina nearly won at Lyon but thanks to Frédéric Piquionne and Karim Benzema for the fightback. Arsenal is another team who nearly lost but thanks to Gallas. I think this is not a good season for Man Utd as they had lost to Liverpool 2-1 in EPL and drew at home with Villarreal. That's it Ronaldo and his Man Utd team!! haha.. Anyway this season Champions League will be an exciting competition to watch, with minnow teams creating upsets here and there. That's what soccer should be. Attacking football with entertainment so that people will not bored watching soccer in the middle of the night.

Ok, there are some other news to report:

On 25 September, Royston is going for an interview at RP for a job in logistics at SAS department. This job is a 3 months contract. The interview could have been on 16 September afternoon but the person-in-charge of the interview is going on leave until 25 September. Disappointment. Hopefully he can get the job ASAP to help him tide over this period of time. He needs a job desperately.

On 26 September, Royston is going for another interview at MOE for the NIE application. This is the last hurdle to get through for him to study at NIE next year. This interview has to be "one shot, one kill". No time is to be wasted anymore. Time is precious. It is an exciting moment for him. Now waiting for the letter to arrive at his doorstep to inform him about the details. 2 interviews within 2 days. Seems tedious for him but then if he can get through, it is worthwhile.

This sunday, Royston is going to take a look at Red Dynasty. He may or may not want to join them part time as he is still considering. There are factors need to be considered. As for driving, Royston is learning damn fast. He has already learnt until subject 24 out of 30. Now he is putting himself in the waiting list so that he can quickly finish his course and book the test date. Everything is going smoothly for him. Well Done Royston! :)

Yesterday, Royston made 2 new friends. GraceCharis Lim & RaspberryJam kyer. I had the hotmail of RaspberryJam kyer. Hopefully I can get to talk to her on msn and get to know her well. Think her real name is Phoebe. I have difficulty pronouncing this name. haha.. As for GraceCharis Lim, I have yet to get her hotmail. haha.. I know what u all are thinking but then I am treating them as friends. Shall see what happens next as time goes by. :) I have learnt a big lesson already so this time round no more mistake. Slow and steady win the race. :) It is Desiree's choice to like me or not. I don't have anything to lose out. As others always tell me, there are better flowers in the garden. Know each and every flower's characteristic and take your time to pick. But then u all must know something is that Royston is not a guy who gives up something or someone he likes so easily. Never give up.
